California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is the new student assessment system in California, and replaced the Standardized Testing and Reporting system (STAR) on January 1, 2014. The primary purpose of the CAASPP System is to provide parents and students more accurate and actionable information about what students are learning.
